High Availability Storage Networking I

This course focuses on converged networking, as the name implies. This course begins with an introduction to traditional networking referencing topics covered in Internetworking I and then moves into the area of High Availability Storage Networking. Fiber Channel, iSCSI, SANs, basic networking theory and practice, among other protocols will be discussed in a theoretical and practical approach for the first third of this course. The next two thirds of the course will focus on High Availability Storage Networking theory and practice utilizing Storage Networking adapters, fabric switches, storage arrays, servers and software. Internetworking I (ITS415) or Computer Networks Lab (MSCS561) is the prerequisite for this course.
